Some interesting nature art

Yesterday, I walked over to the daycare center, where I work, to get some things done in my room. It's nice to have time to rearrange the room, clean, and think of new ideas, when I am alone, and I do this about once a month. Yesterday the temperature was about plus 4 (Celsius), and the walk was just lovely.

I found some interesting pieces of art, on the university campus, possibly created by Fine Arts students, or Education students.

I think that art made from natural material, and displayed on trees, causes the viewer to consider the possibilities around one's self in the natural world - to take a second look.

These short pedestals or pillars are also quite interesting. They remind me of a ceremonial formation of rocks such as those in First Nations' traditions.

They also bring to mind natural rock formations, like those I've read about on the Easter Islands, or possibly Stonehenge. This student, or students must certainly have worked long hours to create these.

these are really interesting! I like the idea of using materials from natural sources. The stones on strings are my fav of these. Love seeing the snow! It's all gone here...

Very interesting! I like the hanging rocks, and the stick starburst the best.

Thanks for dropping in each of you.
I think the hanging rocks are interesting too!
Interestingly the snow is slowly disappearing, as we've had warmer temperatures this last few days.
But it will be back!
Wishing you a good week!

Just to let you know Brenda, if you'd like a bit more width to allow for larger photos, you can adjust if you click Advanced, and then adjust widths (I think it's for all the templates) I can on mine I know. I stretched mine quite a bit over at MRLR to accommodate the 3 columns I have there. Not to knit-pic of course...just thought I'd mention.

Ched loved the comments re: his latest review.

Thanks, Geraldine,
I'll have to play around. I noticed that, on Advanced.

PS: Thanks for your kind words re: new blog look. I "lucked out" with the orange shade I think, I love it too. I opened up the color box and choose this one from the little squares in the drop down menu. Sometimes it can be hard to get the shade you want! I hope you and the kitties are having a fine day. I finally snowed here, just a skiff but better than nothing. Maybe my snow post helped LOL

BFN, G (Mr. Cheddar is sitting on my lap, he sends headbonks) I just added his pic to my sidebar at MRLR. He is the co-host there after all!!!

Hi, Teri,
There is lots of creativity, in these, most definitely!
I think I'll try to do some like these with my children this winter.
Thanks for dropping in, and your comment, Teri. It's always great to see you've been by!

Wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful sculptures! They are definitely land art! I Love land art and could really get into that type of work. An inspirational artist that does Land Art is Andy Goldsworthy:

Also his film Rivers and Tides is excellent, if you like that kind of thing! Here is a clip:

Melissa,
Thanks for your comments here, and for taking time to read over here!
I will definitely look up up Andy Goldsworthy. It's interesting to find out that these art pieces belong to a genre.
I remember that you and C did some land art this summer and posted it
