Sunbeams, a full moon, and the last day of September

Arthur is the cat in this apartment who loves to play. He will play a form of soccer with his plastic Bizzy Ball, he'll hide his various mice, and he likes to play with the sunbeams that reflect on the wall.

My dear Herbert seems to be more soulful, somehow. He is quiet, and he welcomes all newcomers to his home, as he's done twice both for our dog, Sam, and for Arthur when he joined us.
I caught him listening to music again, this time a Youtube video of Paul McCartney being awarded the Gershwin Prize for Life time Achievement in Music, in 2010, at the WhiteHouse. Herbert appears to like all kinds of music, from Matt Dusk, to classical. to Paul McCartney, as well as Elton John.

Here's the Youtube video of Sir Paul, at the WhiteHouse. It IS extremely long, but you might just want to download it yourself to enjoy. (I'm thinking possibly of Geraldine, as I know you admire his music very much. :) )

I like Paul's music so much as well, and I just want to add an additional video of one of his prettiest songs, performed by, Herbie Hancock, and Corinne Bailey Rae, from the awards performances. I think this was an absolutely breathtaking version.

It's been a perfect autumn weekend here, and we have been fortunate to have such warm temperatures combined with sunny skies, and colourful leaves to create a dazzling sight. I enjoyed the views from my windows as well. I like the way the fall leaves brighten everything up.

One morning this week, I woke to find a tree in my neighbour's backyard had turned colour overnight. It looked wonderful!

I read on the CBC website, that our summer weather conditions have resulted in an unusually colourful fall this year. I'm not clear what was so different, but I have noticed the colours seem more bright.

We had a full moon a couple of days ago, and I caught this while waiting for the bus, one evening.

Well, really that's all for now. Just a little bit about our beautiful autumn weather, and wishing everyone a good October.

I love fall too, Brenda. The colors this year look to be spectacular already. Makes me want to bake bread :-)

A cat who listens to music? Now that is a children's story!!

Have fun
Love

Great to see the kitties here and the lovely Fall pics. And yes, I do love Sir Paul (but the Beatles as a group, even more) :<) i certainly admire his work for animal rights.

I was just talking to someone in your city this morning and they mentioned you've dipped below the freezing mark already and snow expected soon. DO share some snow pics when/if you can Brenda. I am soooo longing for some of the beautiful white stuff this winter. It's in short supply here. LOL

Happy Week, G

I don't know If I have mentioned this before, Brenda, but I love your apartment. It is so bright and sunny.

It looks like the leaves have turned there already. We are still in the process, and even the maples that have are not that bright.

I always enjoy your music clips, and am not surprised that the cats do, too.

Geraldine,
Thanks for dropping in!
I promise when snow arrives, I will definitely post pictures. But truly, I hope that it doesn't arrive too soon! :)
Hugs,
Brenda

Hi, Sandy,
Thanks, I liked the big windows right away, and it was a big reason for me taking the apartment. I feel very fortunate to live in this comfortable, spacious and bright home. The building is late 1950's and the large kitchen, reminded me of my grandmother's apartment.

I always appreciate your comments, and kind words, Sandy. It's always a pleasure to see you've visited.

Brenda, I wanted to comment as well that your apartment is so sunny and cheerful, but others beat me to it! I also love the unique "cat gym", for lack of a better word. Herbert has excellent taste, of course. Sir Paul is one of the best. Herbert, I admire his lust for fun! You can't look that beautiful and just lounge around all the time. Lovely pictures, Brenda. Thanks for the peek into your life. (And the boys) Ann

Thank you, Ann,
I do like my apartment.
I had the cat "furniture" built by an aquaintance, as I wanted something fairly sturdy, as my two guys are pretty big. However, my estimate for the height wasn't correct...it's abit too short, so the guys don't get a full view out the window. My old house had lovely deep windowsills, and Herbert especially like to sit in them for hours.
Wishing you a good October, I'm thinking the temperatures should be cooler there soon?

I love interesting photos, and your last one here, especially, is just beautiful. Gazing at it makes me want to write something.

Your kitties are so lovely and sound like fun! Mine is camped out on my lap as I write this. She likes sunbeams, too, and chasing headlights that cross the wall after dark.

I'm getting over an awful cold and trying not to stay up all night writing when I desparately need sleep, so I'm catching up with a few blogs instead, before turning off the computer. I hope things are well with you and I'm sorry to have been so busy that I haven't kept up.
