Gifts and Play

At the daycare center where I work, my children have been busy creating gifts for their family.

We used acrylic paint, and sparkle paint too. I like that each painting is unique, and think these will be received with joy.

We also made our own wrapping paper using cookie cutters to make prints with tempera paint. Some of the children also used their hands.(Of course). :)

We played indoors today as it was very cold and windy today, outdoors, and the children continued their play using various "Santa" props. A parent brought in a very small Santa outfit for us, and we have been taking turns being Santa.

I think the Christmas spirit is alive and well in this small room of young children!

I really like that second one down!
Are those teeth marks of the table in the bottom shot?

Hi, Sandy,
Thanks for the compliment. I love how the children are enjoying imaginative play with these toys.
It DOES look like teeth marks, doesn't it?
But it's just tape, holding the edge of the formica to the table. :)
Thanks for reading here today!
Hope you have a great weekend.

All masterpieces! Their parents, grans etc...are going to love these. My kind of gifts, from the heart and hands. So cute Brenda.

Thanks Ger, for you comment!
I agree, that the nicest kind of gifts are those made with loving hands.
Wishing you a great weekend, and wonder if you have snow?
Our weather is unseasonably warm right now, and hardly any snow.

Teri,
Thanks for dropping in.
We are having loads of fun!
One of my little guys wore a child sized Santa suit, (purchased at Dollarama for a buck) for the past 2 days! It's hard to convince him to take it off!
