"Colours" song by Donovan

I have had great pleasure in listening to Matthew's videos, for the past two years. He is a very young Canadian, living in Bangkok, Thailand. He is from Montreal, Canada, originally, so I feel a connection to him as my son lived in Montreal for 10 years, and the two are approximately the same age. Another connection I feel to Matthew is that my son has traveled quite widely too, in Asia including Thailand.

But really, I like following him, because of his sincerity, and awesome music, and because I love this genre of music.

Matthew teaches English in Bangkok, and has a personal project to record all of the tunes on Youtube from the songbook, Rise Up Singing. This song book includes traditional folk songs and ballads, and as well more recent folk songs from the sixties and seventies.

He hasn't posted for almost one year, but in the past week, he has started posting again.
I love this tune, so want to share it here.

If you are inclined to, why not pass on a comment on Youtube to Matthew.
I think he would feel happy to know we are listening to him, and following him at this time.
Hugs.

Ann!
I am happy to hear you have posted, and went over right away to read your stories and comment.
This too is my first post in awhile, and his song today was a good reason for me!
If you click on the Youtube icon on his video here, it will link you to his posts, and you should be able to leave a comment I think.
I think it's interesting that you and he are teaching English as a second language.
Thanks for visiting.

kj,
That is so true, that we are blessed to be able to connect with people we otherwise would never know through blogging.
I will look for the mary ellen carter song on Matthew's blog, he has already recorded many out of the book.
Thanks for your support over the past couple of years - I am so glad to have met you!

Sounds like you've had a busy summer Brenda. But it's not over yet, I know at least here in BC that we are definitely in for probably weeks more of warm days. I agree though, too hot IS too hot.

The kitty photos are adorable. Great to see them looking so happy. I bet they are glad it's cooled down a bit. Mr. Cheddar does not like really hot days either.

I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by over at Veggies...it was nice to post again today.
